About Sharee

Sharee MarcusSharee’s exposure to yoga started in the late 60s as an expression of her rebellious, inquisitive  nature while attending the University of MN.

In this early work as a yoga student, Sharee learned that yoga is beneficial to the body, mind and spirit level.

Later, a traumatic accident reinforced this belief.

In the mid 80s while on her bicycle, she was run over by a truck and began the long road to recovery.

Ironically the only physical relief amongst all modalities was yoga. Yoga helped Sharee with pain management as well as working through the emotional and spiritual hurdles confronting her.

With this new awareness of the power of yoga, Sharee made a commitment to be a yoga teacher and share these benefits with others.

After investigating her various options, Sharee chose Kripalu Center in Lenox Massachusetts, where she took her 200 hour training as it most aligned with the traditional, compassionate, accepting ways to teach yoga to all populations. She then followed her yoga teacher, Yoganand Michael Carroll to Augusta, Georgia to complete her 500 hour Pranakria Yoga certification with him.

Sharee now is teaching a variety of classes and workshops to a variety of populations: corporate, seniors, the blind, and in community. She is based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
